Natural Muscle Pain Remedies
30 Jun
When we have muscle pain, even simple movements give us discomfort. This affects our work and family relationships. While we can’t always avoid muscle pain, we can lessen the hurt we feel when it falls on us. It is important we know how to treat this affliction so that it doesn’t affect daily activities.
We are all familiar with pain relief drugs like aspirin and ibuprofen. They can help, but sometimes it is better to take natural methods to treat our pains. It is best to consider the healthy and natural ways to cope with any muscle pains. The following things can effectively help us:
Get enough rest and sleep
When we feel uncomfortable and sick, it is always advisable to rest and sleep. It should not be short because it will not make a difference. We should have a long sleep (seven to eight hours, if possible) so when we wake up, we will feel rested and rejuvenated. Research shows that during deep sleep, the body produces and releases growth hormone that can contribute to tissue healing and repair.
Eat the right food
We should maintain a diet that can help us get through muscle pains. We should select foods that can eliminate toxins in the body. It will be beneficial if we consider green leafy vegetables, whole grains and fruits. Reduce intake of red mead and animal fats. It is also important to increase Vitamin D intake.
Massage
Massage relaxes the body and improves circulation. Massage will be more effective if we apply oils directly on the affected area. You can also use cayenne pepper mixed with olive oil as an ointment.
